Young Free State rugby player dies

Twenty-one-year-old Free State rugby player Jaco Weideman, who suffered a medical problem during a match last week has passed away.

The promising rugby player is reported to have started feeling unwell before he was rushed to the hospital.

According to News24, his heart stopped several times during the second team game between Welkom Rugby Club and the Welkom Rovers last Saturday, 2 July.

He was then admitted to hospital where his heart stopped and was later transferred to Bloemfontein.
