Sonny Bill Williams is now reportedly the highest paid player in either code of rugby in the world after confirmation of his move to the Toronto Wolfpack Super League club.

British rugby fans have voted nine All Blacks into their team of the decade with Dan Carter blitzing Beauden Barrett and Ma’a Nonu monstering Sonny Bill Williams in their respective positions.

There was also the questionable decision to hand the No 15 jersey to Israel Dagg from a list of options that didn’t include the incredible but controversial Israel Folau from Australia.

Sky Sports fans were given four international choices for each position and New Zealand’s remarkable period of dominance over the past 10 years that saw the All Blacks win two of the three World Cups on offer saw Kiwis dominate the voting.

Dagg only played the 2011 World Cup but did enough to claim the fullback’s position with 34 per cent of the votes. Wales’ Leigh Halfpenny (27 per cent), Scotland’s Stuart Hogg (24 per cent) and Ireland’s Rob Kearney (15 per cent) were the other contenders.
