A fight breaks out between Saracens and Exeter, leading to a red card to Exeter’s England prop Harry Williams.

England prop Harry Williams was sent off after leaving the bench to join a brawl as tensions boiled over in a grudge match between English rugby premiership heavyweights Exeter and Saracens.

Williams had been sinbinned for the first time in his career earlier in the second half of the match won 14-7 by his Exeter team at their Sandy Park home ground on Sunday (Monday NZ time).

The 132kg front rower received a red card after Saracens centre Duncan Taylor reacted after being tackled into touch by Exeter’s Australian halfback Nic White in the 77th minute.

Williams – yellow carded earlier for collapsing a maul – rushed in to join the action as a mass melee ensued, leading to an early shower after referee Wayne Barnes brandished a red card.
