ALL-SCHOLASTICS

JACK AVELLAR, NAUSET

The senior keeper was stellar as Nauset’s last line of defense, allowing eight goals in 22 games while posting 11 shutouts to earn United Soccer Coaches All-New England recognition. Avellar was also named the Cape and Island League MVP. Avellar was a part of two state title teams and had 59 career shutouts.

CHARLES BLACKER, SCITUATE

A dynamic senior striker, Blacker displayed his offensive prowess with 23 goals and 23 assists this season. He was named a United Soccer Coaches All-New England player and the Patriot League Fisher MVP. Blacker, who owns the program record for career goals with 56, is a National Honor Society and student government member.

MICHAEL CHUN, SILVER LAKE

A four-year varsity player, the senior captain was an integral part in the Lakers’ success. He controlled play through his midfield and forward positions and was named the Patriot League Keenan MVP and was an EMSCA All-State selection. Chun, who plays club soccer for FCUSA 2001 NPL team, plans to study computer science in college.

LEONARDO COELHO, MILFORD

The junior defensive midfielder played a pivotal role in the Scarlet Hawks Div. 2 South title this season. Coelho could break down opposing defenses regularly and finished the campaign with seven goals and 10 assists. He earned Hockomock League MVP and EMSCA All-State honors.

DYLAN CORBETT, LEXINGTON

The senior midfielder and captain helped the Minutemen capture a second straight Middlesex League title this season. After tallying five goals and nine assists, he was named a Middlesex League All-Star and was a EMSCA All-State selection. Corbett spends his spare time volunteering for Special Olympics Best Buddies.

ZACHARY DAVIS, ST. JOHN’S PREP

A two-time Herald All-Scholastic, the senior center midfielder put the finishing touches on an exceptional career with the Eagles, recording 16 goals and 21 assists. Davis earned Catholic Conference Player of the Year and EMSCA All-State recognition this season. He will play soccer next year at Stonehill College.

STEVEN DONOVAN, NEEDHAM

The senior center midfielder was essential to the Rockets making a run to a state final this season, which included capturing a Div. 1 South title. A two-year captain, Donovan tallied 10 goals and 10 assists this year to be named a United Soccer Coaches All-American and the Bay State Conference Herget MVP. Donovan also plays baseball and will attend Wesleyan University next year.

LUKAS DRAHOS, MYSTIC VALLEY

The senior forward was a prolific scorer. Drahos netted 42 goals to go along with 14 assists to earn Commonwealth Athletic Conference honors for the third time. For his career, Drahos registered 115 goals and 42 assists. He plays club soccer for SFC New England.

ROBERTO DUBON, EAST BOSTON

Dubon showcased vital versatility to lead the Jets by playing defense, midfield and striker. The senior totaled 25 goals and 16 assists this season to earn Boston City League Player of the Year and EMSCA All-State honors. Dubon, who earned a sportsmanship award in 2018, finished his high school career with 36 goals and 42 assists.

LUKE FAGERSON, MEDWAY

The junior center midfielder starred for the Mustangs as they captured a Division 3 state title this season. He tallied 19 goals and nine assists to earn EMSCA All-State recognition. The two-time Tri-Valley League All-Star plans to play soccer in college and plays club soccer for NEFC NPL.

RODRIGO FREITAS, WATERTOWN

The midfielder excelled in his junior season, recording 13 goals and 11 assists to spearhead the Raiders. For his efforts, Freitas was named the Middlesex League Freedom MVP and a EMSCA All-State player. He has a goal of playing Div. 1 collegiate soccer and plays at the club level for Boston City FC.

KELLEN FURSE, MANCHESTER ESSEX

Behind the senior midfielder’s dynamic play, the Hornets were Div.
