Evans jumped to catch a high ball in the first minute when his boot made contact with the face of Racing 92 winger Teddy Thomas.
Referee Frank Murphy stopped the game and flashed a red card after consulting replays with television match official Olly Hodges.
Thomas was cleared to resume playing after a head injury assessment and the French international scored two first-half tries as the Paris club won 40-19 in Swansea.
