Business as usual at Allianz Park — on the pitch at least. Saracens put their salary cap crisis to one side to remind everyone that they have not thrown in the European towel just yet.

This was an exhibition of depth, which does not come cheap, as their shadow team overpowered the Ospreys and returned to winning ways in Pool 4 of the Heineken Champions Cup.

Having only arrived at his new club on Monday, it was debutant Elliot Daly who stole the show. Eyebrows were raised when Saracens found the funds to add the England full-back to their roster and he cut open the Ospreys with a display of footwork, offloads and kicking.
