CRICKET:Dane Cleaver is hanging out for his return to the one-day competition with Central Districts and it happens to be on his home turf.
The Manawatū wicketkeeper-batsman will suit up on his home ground this weekend when CD host Canterbury in the opening game of the domestic one-day competition at Fitzherbert Park in Palmerston North on Sunday.
Cleaver didn’t play in the one-day competition last year because he was away with the New Zealand A team in the United Arab Emirates.
His last one-day outing for CD was in the one-day final the season before against Auckland, so he was looking forward to getting back into it.

“I’m up for embracing whatever role I get given with the bat or gloves, and hopefully winning a few games for the team,” he said.
