Beauden Barrett ‘I believe he was known as ‘God’, worshipped by fans and players’

Beauden Barrett This is one magnificent addon!!

1. What was your first Munster Rugby match?

Munster versus Leinster’s Magners league match in April 2010 at Thomond Park. Even though Munster lost 15-16, it was great to experience a full-house atmosphere for the first time, from the North Terrace. Ronan O’Gara was one of the stand-out performers that day, kicking all five penalties.

2. What Munster game sticks out in your memory and why?

Munster v Glasgow Warriors Heineken Champions Cup match in October 2016 for obvious reasons. The team honoured the late Anthony Foley by playing the way he always wanted them to play. The atmosphere had to be experienced to be believed. There wasn’t a dry eye in the stadium when the Munster squad and Anthony’s sons sang ‘Stand up and Fight’ on the pitch after the final whistle.

3. What current Munster player do you looking forward to watching?

Andrew Conway. He is electric with ball in hand, and his tries have been just spectacular. He is in a rich vein of form since last season. Those tries against Toulon and Ospreys, wow!

4. Describe the most memorable Munster score you’ve seen?

JJ Hanrahan’s last-minute try against Perpignan in France in 2013 in a Heineken Cup pool match. Munster were down and out with two minutes to go and JJ saved their campaign.

5. You’re given a blank cheque to sign any player in the world. Who would it be?

I like addons, because they are the adorable.
