Tyson Fury has branded BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year award as ‘a fix’ after he was omitted from this year’s six-strong shortlist.

Ben Stokes is the bookies’ favourite for the top gong while Dina Asher-Smith, Lewis Hamilton, Raheem Sterling and Alun Wyn Jones are all up for the award.

However, Fury felt aggrieved by his omission before taking to Twitter to list why he should be up for the public vote.
