The Barrett brothers have moved on quickly from the All Blacks’ Rugby World Cup disappointment – turning out in Taranaki club cricket.
All Black stars Beauden and Jordie Barrett, both outstanding cricketers in their youth, swapped the rugby ball for their other sporting love on Saturday.
They played for the south Taranaki-based Pihama senior side in a second grade club match against New Plymouth Marist United at St Joseph’s School in New Plymouth.
Any memories of the All Blacks’ semifinal loss to England and third place finish at the Rugby World Cup appear to have been quickly banished.

The brothers enjoyed a laugh in the field as they rubbed shoulders with other weekend club cricket warriors.
Beauden and Jordie both played in the Black Clash T20 match in Christchurch in January, which pitted Team Rugby against Team Cricket.
