It was the farewell game for a number of All Blacks servants, including captain Kieran Read and wing/fullback Ben Smith.

Beauden Barrett: Took his try well and looked sharp in patches, especially on the counterattack. Not the test to settle arguments about the dual playmaker system, however.7
Ben Smith: Caught out by a beautiful Rhys Patchell pass for Wales’ first try but burst into life with two fine tries – and the first was classic Smith, running against the grain and weaving his way through several defenders.9
Ryan Crotty: Picked up a try after running a fine line to profit from a Sonny Bill Williams offload. Departs with his head held high after a tidy performance. 7.5
Sonny Bill Williams: Enjoyed himself immensely in surely his last outing. Midfield partnership with Crotty was in sync and Wales struggled to contain them during their 56 minutes. 8
Rieko Ioane: Tried hard to get involved and looked fit and light on his feet but knock on to deprive Smith of his third try summed up his frustrating year. 6.5
Richie Mo’unga: Some nice offloads were offset by errors such as another missed touch from a penalty. However, made some telling defensive plays when needed and finished strongly with a well taken try. 7
