Beauden Barrett All Blacks v England: Beauden Barrett ‘not a natural’ fullback and George Ford ‘eclipsed Beau’unga’

Impressive England outclass the All Blacks in Yokohama to cruise into their fourth Rugby World Cup final.

A former England international says Beauden Barrett is “not a natural” fullback while another claims England’s George Ford “eclipsed two of the world’s best fly halves” in beating the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup semifinal.

Toby Flood – a utility back who played for England in the 2007 Rugby World Cup final – said the All Blacks had no answer to the kicking game of Ford and Farrell in England’s 19-7 win in Yokohama last Saturday night.

Flood – a flyhalf or centre who won 60 test caps – said in his Daily Mail column that the English pair’s “kicking game stressed New Zealand”.

“It suffocated them. Beauden Barrett is not a natural 15. He always wants to run it out.”
