Rugby World Cup 2019 fixtures, match times and quarter-final results so far

I love constituents, because they are smart.

The 2019 Rugby World Cup is fast approaching the concluding stages as teams take on the quarter-finals this weekend.

Last week’s final group stages saw two matches cancelled due to Typhoon Hagibis.

Here is the full list of remaining fixtures for the final eight countries competing, along with the results of the tournament from the early stages when 20 countries were competing.

Where is the tournament being held?

Japan. See the full list of stadiums hosting the games.

What are the latest standings?

Here’s a basic run-down of how the tournament format works:

The opening group stage of the competition sees 20 teams attempt to battle their way out of four Pools – A, B, C and D. Each Pool contains five teams and only two can advance into the knockout rounds.

From there it is standard quarter-final, semi-final, final format.

Which games have been cancelled?

Due to Typhoon Hagibis, three matches had to be called off – New Zealand vs Italy in Pool B, England vs France in Pool C and Canada vs Namibia in Pool B.

Each team will take two points (a draw) from the abandoned games. New Zealand and South Africa have therefore qualified for the quarter-finals from Pool B, and England and France from Pool C.
