Follow the latest updates live from the Rugby World Cup as England take on Argentina in a crucial Pool C encounter in Tokyo.
England go into the match as strong favourites following their wins over Tonga and the United States, but face their first real challenge in Japan in the form of a fellow tier-one side in the Pumas.
Eddie Jones has reverted to his strongest line-up for the match, and England also have Mako Vunipola and Jack Nowell back from injury and on the bench for good measure. But while Argentina have sprung a few surprises with Agustin Creevy benched and Nicolas Sanchez left out completely, they remain a side who have not failed to get out of the pool stage since 2003, and with their World Cup hopes on the line, they could be more dangerous than ever. 80 mins: The driving maul is set up, the backs flood in as Tuilagi and Slade join in, and quick enough Luke Cowan-Dickie is over for the try! There’s plenty of afters as once again Argentina go down swinging, with pushing and shoving and maybe a bit more lasting a fair few minutes, before Farrell can take the final conversion to seal the win!
Full-time: England 39-10 Argentina!
80 mins: TRY FOR ENGLAND!
80 mins:England win a penalty after another storming Tuilagi run, and even though it’s in front of the uprights, Farrell sends it to the corner. They want one last try to sign off on.
77 mins: Once again, Argentina get an interception – this time through Matera – but the ball had already been knocked on from a Puma handed and play is brought back for an England scrum.
74 mins: What a moment it is forJack Nowell! He receives a lovely pass from Farrell that’s whipped across the line, and after taking it into contact against Moroni, he somehow bounces out of it and outpaces Boffelli to score in the corner, with a diving finish to boot. Farrell’s touchline conversion deflects through off the left upright, and the lead now looks safe and dry. 32-10
74 mins: TRY FOR ENGLAND!
74 mins: Tuilagi gets to line up Matera from a long way back and he smashes his former Leicester teammate right in the side of the ribs that sees the Pumas skipper yelp in pain, and knock the ball on in the process, giving England the scrum.
71 mins: After all of those changes, England are caught napping! From a lineout, Argentina, break straight through the gut of the English defence. Mensa plays triggers a lovely move that sees the ball go through the hands of Delguy, De La Fuente and on to the charging Matias Moroni, who sprints straight through to score between the uprights. Mensa adds the conversion and Argentina have their first try!25-10
71 mins: TRY FOR ARGENTINA!
68 mins: England pinch the lineout and immediately get on the charge, with Tuilagi making a powerful run through the defensive line, but the ball is kicked away and Argentina have time to clear the lines. Both Jack Nowell and Henry Slade come on for Watson and Ford, meaning Farrell will move to 10, Tuilagi to 12 and Nowell slots in on the wing.
These add-ons are quite huge.
