England face the United States in their Pool C clash at the Rugby World Cup at Kobe’s Misaki Park Stadium.
It’s the first game of the 2019 tournament in Japan for the Eagles and facing England will mark their eighth World Cup appearance – the only one the USA did not contest was in South Africa in 1995.
England started their campaign with a scratchy 35-3 win over Tonga on Sunday and coach Eddie Jones was clearly frustrated in the stands at the Sapporo Dome, but he played down his anger by suggesting he was just swatting mosquitoes when reacting to an error in the first half.
They last faced one another in a World Cup in 2007 when England won 28-10 in Lens, France. The Eagles have never beaten England and this test will be the sixth between the two after they first met at the 1987 World Cup.
