England are unlikely to risk Mark Wilson and Joe Cokanasiga in their World Cup opener after it emerged that they are recovering from minor knee injuries.

The pair were both involved in the national team’s final warm-up fixture in Newcastle, when the hosts swept to a 37-0 win.
