Scrum-half Greig Laidlaw will start for Scotland against Ireland in Sunday’s World Cup Pool A clash. 

The experienced Clermont player got the nod over Ali Price for the number nine berth. 

In all there are 10 changes to the side that beat Georgia two weeks ago

Elsewhere, Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg take their spots at out-half and full-back respectively. 

Stuart McInally captains Gregor Townsend’s team from hooker, with Allan Del and Willem Nel on either side. 

Grant Gilchrist and Jonny Gray form the second row, while John Barclay, Hamish Watson and Ryan Wilson, at number eight, make up the back row. 

Sam Johnson and Duncan Taylor are in the centre with the wing positions filled by Sean Maitland and Tommy Seymour.
