    England winger Jack Nowell has been assured that he will travel to Japan for the World Cup despite being hospitalised by another injury setback.

    The Lions star fell ill with appendicitis last week and subsequently spent four nights in hospital in Treviso following keyhole surgery.

    Nowell has not trained fully since suffering an ankle injury in June, but he was named in Eddie Jones’ 31-man squad and was expected to begin running this week.
