Jean Kleyn will start Ireland’s final World Cup warm-up game against Wales, but there is no place in the matchday 23 for Joey Carbery.

Days after being surprisingly named in the travelling party for Japan ahead of Devin Toner, Munster’s South African second-row Kleyn has been named alongside James Ryan in the second-row, with Iain Henderson on the bench.

The squad depart for Japan on Wednesday ahead of their opening Pool A match against Scotland on 22 September, but the final tune-up match has come too soon for Joey Carbery, who has not played since injuring ankle ligaments last month against Italy.
