Brodie Retallick I be nuts about constituents, because they are glamorous!
Brodie Retallick is likely to be included in the All Blacks’ Rugby World Cup squad announced next week despite his shoulder injury and he took time out of his recovery by sledging down the slopes of Mt Ruapehu with family.
The All Blacks lock dislocated his shoulder but avoided significant damage after South African counterpart RG Snyman aggressively cleaned him out of a ruck in last month’s drawn Rugby Championship test in Wellington.
While no specific comeback date has been stated, Retallick is almost certain to be unavailable for the World Cup opener against South Africa in Yokohama on September 21, but the 77-test lock is expected to return for the latter stages of the tournament in Japan.
The quarter-finals are scheduled for October 19-20, almost three months on from Retallick sustaining the injury, but the 28-year-old is currently committed to family time and he shared an image of him and his two daughters squeezed on to a sled at Whakapapa ski field.
