England have reverted to the 10-12 alliance of George Ford and captain Owen Farrell for Saturday’s clash against Ireland at Twickenham, in a line-up featuring nine changes.
Head coach Eddie Jones has chosen to name his two leading playmakers side-by-side in a reshuffled back line – with the friends reunited in the starting XV for the first time since the Test against South Africa in Bloemfontein 14 months ago.
Ford will continue to operate at fly-half, with Farrell leading the team from inside centre, in a midfield partnership with Manu Tuilagi. This is the first time that England will have started a match with the Ford-Farrell-Tuilagi combination.
