No more flying under the radar, Wales are flashing brightly ahead of the World Cup – so much so they could call themselves the best team in the sport on Monday.

Warren Gatland’s men come to Twickenham as unofficially the No 1 ranked team in the world after New Zealand, who saw lock Scott Barrett sent-off in the first half, were thrashed 47-26 by Australia in Perth in the Rugby Championship.

And if Wales fail to lose against England they will sit atop the rankings when they are officially updated at noon on Monday.
