Willi Heinz, the New Zealand-born scrum-half, is set for his England debut against Wales this Sunday as Eddie Jones gives his World Cup bolters one shot to impress.
The 32-year-old Gloucester No 9 was included in a 33-man group for the Twickenham Test as one of two scrum-halves, along with first-choice Ben Youngs.
With Saracens’ Ben Spencer, 27, dropped for the game, Heinz is sure to play against Warren Gatland’s side as he tries to make a last-gasp claim for a seat on the plane to Japan.
