Dane Coles found it hard to take his eyes off Brodie Retallick as he went through the agony of a dislocated shoulder.

The big lock suffered the injury 20 minutes from the end of his side’s 16-16 draw with South Africa at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Saturday night.

Coach Steve Hansen said Retallick had gone to Wellington Hospital after the match to check if there was a bone break or structural damage to his shoulder, so they did not know the extent of the injury yet.
