Patrick Tuipulotu will shoulder the responsibility of running the defensive lineout against Argentina on Sunday, NZ time, as he embarks on a run of games that help will help define just what he achieves in the All Blacks jersey.
Opportunity has come knocking loudly for Tuipulotu with Sam Whitelock rested for the test against the Pumas and Scott Barrett injured, and the big Blues lock is confident that his co-captaincy role at Super Rugby level has prepared him well to grasp the chance.
“It’s certainly helped with my game understanding throughout the year,” Tuipulotu said. “It”s definitely put me in good stead.
“Obviously Sammy Whitelock is not here so I’m in charge of defensive lineouts and how we can around that area so all in all I’m pretty happy to step up and do my job in that aspect.”
